The Dance Room & All Eyez On She
Owner & Director
Erica Nicole started her dance journey as a youth dancer at the age of 7. Throughout her child and teenage years, dance was her favorite hobby as she trained in jazz, hip hop and contemporary dances. In college, she discovered and fell in love with the Latin social dances. Along with a part time career in modeling, being a full time student at Cal State Fullerton, and her reign as Miss Buena Park, Erica was still drawn for her long time passion for dancing, performing arts in the entertainment industry.
Starting with Salsa, she began her dedicated training at the Bee Hive dance studio and Steps of Gold Dance studio in 2008. In 2010, she decided to devote herself to training full time at the former DanceSport,CA in Signal Hill with renowned instructors Bernard and Sonyo Martinez. She began teaching beginner classes in 2011 In 2012, she returned to Steps of Gold Dance Studio to not only train with Alicia Mendibles & Alejandro Rey, but she also continued her passion for teaching with the studio’s social dancing classes. She also began teaching the children’s Latin Dance Program for Paso De Oro Dance Company.
In 2014, Erica began assisting Alejandro Rey with his Latin Gold Dance Teams and in 2015 she became his exclusive partner. Together they toured the world showcasing their talents and creativity. They represented the LA community all over the U.S. including events such as The Dallas Bachata Festival, The Portland Weekender, Tucson Bachata Festival, Latin Street Weekender in Chicago, Dance is Therapy Weekender in Denver and many more. They frequented the local festivals such as the LA Bachata Festival, LA Salsa Congress, and World Salsa Fest. In addition to their presence in the U.S., they made waves on an international scale visiting cities in Canada, Mexico and Tokyo, Japan.
Then in 2018, Erica Nicole was presented an opportunity to have a studio of her own. She acquired a small studio in the city of Buena Park which she named The Dance Room. Her goal was to create a space to host other teachers to do what they do best and expand her vision for what is now known as the team All Eyez On She.
The first All Eyez On She workshop took place in 2018. The goal was to provide a safe space for women to be authentically themselves, celebrating their strengths, and building confidence in the process. Erica continued growing this vision while simultaneously continuing her partnership and Co-Directorship with Paso De Oro Dance Company. Then in 2021, she decided to dedicate herself full time to the Dance Room and All Eyez On She. She amicably parted ways with Steps of Gold Dance Studio to further devote herself to her vision.
Today, Erica Nicole has 3 performance teams in All Eyez On She. The Bachata Shines & Styling team, the Heels team, and the “Minis” youth Latin Dance Team. She continues to host other instructors at the Dance Room and still strives to be a home for creative minds, and a safe space of expression, creativity and innovation.
